The Mac OS has a built-in sound recording window that can be used by any program that wishes to allow its users to capture brief sound "memos". We were considering adding a similar window for video recording, and here is Bill's prototype.

In keeping with the "video memo" concept, the interface is very simple: (1) Drag the corner of the image until its the size you want (2) Record, test and re-record your "memo" as many times as you need to get it right. (3) Save or discard it.
