QuickTime for Windows 1.0
Apple Computer, Inc. -- 1992
This was quite possibly Apple's first software product for Windows. The initial user interface specifications were written by the firm contracted to port QuickTime from Mac OS to Windows 3.1. Bill reviewed the user interface, and worked with the programming team to revise it to make it conform to Windows user interface guidelines, to present certain QuickTime features in an intuitive and Windows-like way, and have the high level of smoothness and ease of use for which Apple products were noted. Bill also managed the creation of all the artwork and icons needed in the product. No pictures are available at this time, but the user interface included the movie-player application, the image viewer application, the installer, and miscellaneous system dialogs and error messages.
