In 1989 MacUser magazine was kind enough to recognize Bill's contributions to the development of the Macintosh computer with a John J. Anderson Distinguished Acheivement award.

In 1986 Apple CEO Jean Louis Gassé awarded Bill special recognition for his work as the Engineering Project Manager on the AppleTalk PC Card; Possibly Apple's first hardware product for the PC.
